Emily bronte's novel wuthering heights revolves around the central character heathcliff.it is a story of vengence.vengence like forest fire! .story of the evolution of a  romantic jibsy boy into a vengence -driven saddist.character potrayal of heathcliff makes him one of the great characters in literature. so what made heathcliff a saddist? whose mistake made him and others to suffer in the novel?can a man become saddist without any reason?......... 

                                             mr.lockwood is a tenant of thrushcross grange owned by a wealthy man  heathcliff.when lockwood comes to wuthering heights where heathcliff lives to meet his owner .while  staying there he encounters many strange things happening  with the people  and the place.while resting a room he finds the name of catherine and heathcliff scribbled there . he even feels the place as a haunting mysterious place.next day lockwood runs to thrusscross grange and meets nelly dean ,house maid of grange to enquire about the things.opening chapter being the juncture of the novel ,mysteries are unfolded by nelly daen. she takes lockwood to the adolescence of heathcliff. 
                                              
                                                              mr.earnshaw owner of wutghering heights returns home from ajourney bringing a jipsy boy named heathcliff,who looks very shabby,and dirty.he was not welcomed by the inmates. but earnshaws pretty daughter catherine shows likeness and sympathy towards the boy. but cathys brother hindley despises him very much which leads to clash between them.but earnshaw who is an amiable and kindhearted sends hindley to a boarding school which gives a pleasent environment to heathcliff to be with catherine.their relationship matures from a level of water to frozen snow.  later earnshaw dies and hindley returns with his married wife ,take the incharge of the estate.he treats heatcliff as a slave and condescends him because of jealousy.he drives him to horse stabble and whips him terribly whenever possible. heathcliff endures these pain for cathy. oneday catherine and heathcliff visits thrushcross grange and discreetly watch through the window where edgar linton and his sister isabella  dancing. suddenly dogb in the house chases theboth and bites cathy. and on hearing the sound linton rushes out to see a beaytiful girl being hurt by his dog. he makes her stay there till she  get well.after a week she returns home as a new cultured lady. till then she was just roaming with heathcliff and didnt consider about his high class status.but after one week in a new environment her behaviour and attitude looks unfamiliar to heathcliff.while seeing chging attitude of catherine,one day he gets a shock.  catherine informs him about his wish to marry linton. infuriates heathcliff runs away from the placelead catherine to fall in agony. 
        
                                                             three years passes ...... heathcliff returns as an,wealthy man,take revenge over everyone he despises especially catherine. she got married with linton but she   still lovesheathcliff. heathcliff too loves her but more than love he his vengence-driven.isabella linton,sister of linton falls in love with heathcliff without knowing his reality.even heathcliff without any love for her elopes with her and marries her. but his intention is to revenge linton.later infatuated isabella finds him as acruel man.later  isabella runs away from him . she gives birth to a child named linton heathcliff.she dies and chatherine is more depressed with her tormenting love towarrds heathcliff,which was not reciprocated .after a lot of suffering she died giving birth to a female child called cathy. though heathcliff holds her inhis arm at her deathbed,still the vengence and hatredness towards towards her would not diminish. later,he becoming the owner of wuthering heights and thrush cross grange. after the death of linton,and hindley,he still takes revenge over the remaining people . jr.cathy gets married with jr.linton,her cousin lives in wuthering heights,jr.linton dies because of illness. later heathcliff haunted by catherines spirit dies shotting himself.

                                    wuthering heights-2                      snow that vanished  in the fire! why heathcliff was vengencef and becomes a sadist ? one of the reasons is society. society treated him as a jipsy boy.from the day of his arrival to wuthering heights everyone hates him as a poor ,lower class boy. later when edgar linton comes to catherines house heathcliff was humiliated there just because of his class. among all hindleys cruelty towards heathcliff is immense .but heathcliff endures all these humiliations only for catherine. but when catherine falls for linton his heart was broken there raised his vengence. catherine didnt betray himbut she found vengence holds heathcliff more than the love .when hindleys wife died he was happy beacause it caused grief to hindley. the brimming vengence in him made cathe...
