wuthering heights- snow that vanished in the fire -2

                                   wuthering heights-2
snow that vanished  in the fire!

why heathcliff was vengencef and becomes a sadist ? one of the reasons is society. society treated him as a jipsy boy.from the day of his arrival to wuthering heights everyone hates him as a poor ,lower class boy. later when edgar linton comes to catherines house heathcliff was humiliated there just because of his class. among all hindleys cruelty towards heathcliff is immense .but heathcliff endures all these humiliations only for catherine.

but when catherine falls for linton his heart was broken there raised his vengence. catherine didnt betray himbut she found vengence holds heathcliff more than the love .when hindleys wife died he was happy beacause it caused grief to hindley. the brimming vengence in him made catherine to choose linton,he is a decent man.but she loved heathcliff till her death.

we dont know whether heathcliff used catherine's love as a revenge to hindley.because marrying catherine would torment hindley. even he married isabell to avenge linton.catgherine shows her inability, pleaded him to forgive her .

.but heathcliff gives emotional torture to her atlast she died bearing a child.catherines death is very emotional part . isabella after knowing heathcliff's behaviour runs to her brother linton and asks forgiveness for her elopement .but linton refuses to forgive her. both heathcliff and linton are similiar in their cruelty .heathcliff gave up his revenge project after his sons death.he was totally haunted by catherines memory . nelly says him that he was not not faith to his religion thats why he is suffering .heathcliff dies and novrl rnds with emily bronte's description that 'the graveyard is quiet with three unquiet souls in it'.
